Youth Nite Events

The youth of today face many difficult challenges. We want to offer them an alternative to what the world has to offer. We are working to organizing up to 6 Youth Nite at the Rodeo (YNR) events each year. The Word of God will be presented in ways relevant to them, Worship will rock their world for Jesus and they will hear personal testimonies from FC Pro Team Members encouraging and challenging them to develop their Christian Walk and their Faith.

Charlie Kingsbury, Stran Smith, Brooks Brewer and their families came to Ardmore to share their talent and their testimonies with these competing Jr Cowboys and their families. Also in attendance were Heather Hatchett, Administrator for FC and her family.

Charlie Kingsbury shared about Forever Cowboys and how both he and Stran were a part of this Helps Ministry that is focused on reaching the Cowboy, “right where he is”. Brooks led the congregation of well over 300 in praise & worship that invited the presence of the Lord in. Stran Smith spoke about how the Lord had been his strength and his Source through many tough times in his life, teaching him that God is Always with us….no matter what the situation is.

After the service Stran and Charlie were on-hand to sign autographs and meet the young people competing in the ropin.

Youth Nite at the Rodeo (YNR) is a vital part of Forever Cowboys. It is our desire to reach the young people in your community with a positive message of Integrity, Hope and Success by teaming great PRCA athletes with young people who admire them! Some of the PRCA Cowboys who have committed themselves to assist in these events are; Allen Bach, Kory Koontz, Stran & Jennifer Smith, DJ Domangue, Todd Pierce, Charlie Kingsbury, Patrick Smith, T, Matt Austin, David Key & Bobby Mote.

This year our goal is to host 6 of these events, in rodeo communities just like yours. The planning for these events began in December of 2006 by talking with some PRCA cowboys about which Rodeo’s they thought the Youth Nite Event’s would be well received and highly effective in reaching young people. The YNR event will draw young people from your surrounding area’s to meet these cowboys, hear great music and be encouraged by the Word. Many of these young people will attend the Rodeo at the conclusion of the YNR event thereby increase ticket sales and encouraging young people to support the Rodeo in your community.

These events can be life changing to a young person, but without financial support they will not be possible.
