November Newsletter

Dear Partner,

This is such a nice time of year – the leaves are changing; the temperature is changing; even the time is changing. But it’s also the time of year that we get together with friends and family to thank the Lord for all that He has done in our lives. Really, we should take the time every day to be thankful for all that God has done and is doing in our lives.

Psalms 145:2 says, “Every day [with its new reasons] will I bless You [affectionately and gratefully praise You]; yes, I will praise your name forever and ever.”

It’s important to spend time on a daily basis giving thanks and praise to God. You can do this on your way to work; while getting dressed; during your prayer time. We all have the time to praise and thank God for His goodness!

Ephesians 5:20 says, “At all times and for everything, giving thanks in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God the Father.”

Thanksgiving can be such a powerful force in our lives. No matter what you are going through, learn to give God thanks and praise. Thank Him that you are saved, alive, delivered; that your eyes, ears, mouth, and body work. Thank him that you have food to eat and clothes to wear. Thank Him for your family members, for bosses, employees, and the leaders in your life. Thank Him that He never leaves you or forsakes you. Thank Him for the fact that He is always faithful! No matter where you are in life or what you’re going through, be thankful that God is with you and that He will help you.

Psalms 34:1 says, “I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.”

David wrote this when he was on the run from King Saul. He was at a very low point in His life, but he still made the decision to praise the Lord. You might be in a difficult time right now in your life, but please make the decision to praise and be thankful for what God has done in your life. When we thank and praise God for what He has done, it causes our faith to rise up on the inside of us and it gives God something to work with.

A while back I had this phrase come up in my heart from the Lord:  “If you will remember where you’ve come from and what I’ve done in your life and be thankful, I will build upon on it and begin to turn things around.” I really believe that it’s time for things to turn around for people in the body of Christ – and one of the things the Lord is going to use is your thankfulness for what He’s already done. Be thankful!

So let’s don’t wait until Thanksgiving Day to be thankful. Let’s start today! Take a moment right now to praise and thank God for His goodness!

We are thankful for each of you! We appreciate the prayers, the love and the support that you show this organization.
